"Lou and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us such a beautiful huppa and also for sending it so promptly. It really added a lot of drama to our wedding. We had four young people holding it and walking down the isle with it and then they held it for the entire ceremony. Then they marched out with it too. Quite a show! We will try to send you a picture soon. Love, "

ASSEMBLY

Our Chuppot are extremely easy to put together. Please follow the instructions on this page to raise your chuppah. The traditional way to raise the chuppah is to have it held by four pole bearers. It is a great honor to be a pole bearer. Many couples ask their parents or best friends to hold the chuppah.

If you would rather have your chuppah stationary, you can buy poles with stands. Those are easily available in a hardware store. Many people get creative in raising their chuppah such as placing stands in flower pots with ivy and weaving the greenery up and around the pole.

STEP BY STEP ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

  • 1. Included in your package are the canopy top, sleeves for the poles and a few upholstery nails to secure the poles to the top. Poles must be purchased separately and a variety of them is readily available in most hardware stores (like Home Depot).

  • 2. You poles can be up to 1,5” in diameter and up to 7,3 ft in height. Depending on your poles, the sleeves may fit tightly or be moved up and down for the gathered look. You may also cut the sleeves to the exact length you want.

We believe that an optimal pole is between 1 and 1.5” in diameter and about 7 ft in height. This way, it is easy for your pole bearers to raise a chuppah and they can rest the poles on the ground while holding it upright.

  • 3. Insert the pole into the sleeve. Move the sleeve around for the gathered look or cut it to length. Leave about one inch loose material up on top of the pole and fold it around.

  • 4. Then position the top end of the pole in the inside corner of the chuppah and secure from the top with an upholstery nail.

  • 5. Repeat for each pole/corner of the chuppah
